Today on 12th June, 2024 – The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts organised a Workshop on “EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) –way forward” at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The session’s objective was to sensitize member exporters on the new EU Regulation i.e. EUDR and its compliance requirements. European Union has introduced a new regulation i.e EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) aimed at addressing the problem of deforestation and degradation associated with cattle, soy, palm oil, cocoa, coffee, rubber and timber and wood products.

The session benefitted stakeholders in many ways, including providing a viable solution and the way forward in case of EUDR compliance. The speakers addressed the queries received from the members and concluded their interaction on a positive note.
